⚫️🔴 Final Zone reminders 🔴⚫️⚡️🌩️ Firstly, yes there’s a hefty storm at present. LANSW has strict weather policies. Nothing will happen whilst lightning is around, so there may be some delays tonight if it lingers. It is an all weather track though, so just rain won’t stop competition. 🔴 Zone Championships start tonight, and go all weekend. ⚫️ Where? Blacktown International Sportspark, Eastern Road Rooty Hill. 🔴 Wear full uniform. Athlete number in middle of singlet/crop top, Coles patch top right of singlet/crop top, age patch on left top of singlet/crop top or on left shorts. ⚫️ Traffic and parking is expected to be busy, particularly on Sunday with other events at the complex. This means that events will not start before time listed, but actual start time may be later. ⚫️ The carnival is a fully called program which means that events are called twice prior to start. Ensure you are listening for your events to be called. First calls are made 20 minutes before the start of an event.🔴 Track events up to and including 200m have heats and finals. Some events with insufficient entries for heats and finals are run as straight finals. These events are programmed to be run as finals only. Ensure you check whether your athlete has qualified for a final before leaving. Other events are treated as Timed Finals, which means the overall result is based purely on times across the races run. Some events will include multiple age groups racing together, though you are only directly competing with those in your age group. ⚫️ We’re set up in the grandstand, come and check out our brand new teardrop banners! It’s great fun to sit together as a team and cheer on your mates!🔴 There may be changes due to any extreme weather conditions.
